TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 1:27
Deuteronomy 1:27- And you complained in your tents and said, “Because the Lord hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us”
The Israelites grumbled/complained against God in their tents/houses. They did not come out to say it to anyone yet God heard it. This shows that God is everywhere. He knows our thoughts, desires and even our next move before we take any step. He knows us within and without. There is nothing that is hidden before God no matter how much we try to hide it from Him. That is why He is the Omnipresent God.
Ananias and Saphira (Acts 5:1-11) plotted somewhere far away (probably in their bedroom at home) from the church in order to deceive Peter, but the Holy Spirit who searches all things (1 Corinthians 2:10b) searched out their lies and the couple did not get a chance to repent before they came to an abrupt end of their lives.
Sarah (Genesis 18:10-15) laughed within herself in response to God’s promise to her. She thought she could hide what she did but she did not know that the thoughts of her heart and her actions behind the tent curtains were all bare before God.
Beloved, whenever you think of doing anything, please remember that God is watching and His eyes run to and fro the earth (2 Chronicles 16:9). And He sees all things including those ones we think are hidden and kept secret.
PRAYER POINTS
- Lord please help me to live with the consciousness that you see all that I do every day in Jesus name.
- Lord I pray that you will search out my heart and look into it to see if there are any sinful ways in me (Psalm 139:23); and purge me of all such in Jesus name.
