TEXT: RUTH 2:11-12
Ruth 2:11-12- And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. 12The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
There is a pay day for every work that man does under heaven- a day of reckoning. All that Ruth did for her mother-in-law at the time she was doing them seemed like they were unnoticed and she could have given up doing those things. Rather, she continued and on a particular day, she met someone whom God placed strategically for her to bless her.
Beloved, you may be putting so much effort and energy into doing “some good works” and it seems like no one has noticed them or commended you. Well, there is someone who is greater than a man who knows and sees all things. And just at the right time, the perfect time, the time when you least expect anything, He will come through for you.
Galatians 6:7-9 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life. 9AND LET US NOT GROW WEARY WHILE DOING GOOD, FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP IF WE DO NOT LOSE HEART.”
PRAYER POINT: Dear Lord Jesus, I receive grace to keep doing good works no matter how discouraging the surrounding situations are in Jesus name.
