Dele walked into his room yesterday night around 10:30pm. The room was dark. He needed to get something from his wardrobe so he used the torchlight app on his phone. With the focus of the light on the wardrobe, he moved ahead. Unknown to him, there was a bottle on the floor. As he moved on ignorantly, he stepped on the bottle and fell. In his pain and hurt, he cried out! Then, he heard the Holy Spirit speak but what He heard was not what He expected. The Holy Spirit told him, “Dele, turn on the light.” He was angry. “What are you talking about? I expected you to comfort me. I expected you to help me up. I expected you…” The Holy Spirit spoke again, “Dele, turn on the light” In anger, he walked to the light switch and turned it on.

To his biggest surprise…nothing happened. Dele was sooo angry. “Holy Spirit, I don’t understand again o! Ahnahn” The Holy Spirit spoke again, “Dele, turn on the light.” Dele sighed. “Wahala dey o. How many light I wan turn on?” Suddenly, it hit him. He rushed to the electrical room and there he discovered that the power switch was on “GENERATOR”. Instantly, he switched it to “NEPA” and the lights came on. There had been light along! After doing this, he was able to navigate his way safely. He smiled sheepishly and spoke, “I am sorry, Daddy. Thank you for helping me” God laughed. “You are welcome, son”

PS. The story is fictional.

Writer’s comment: I would really appreciate if you can share your insights and observations from the story. Also, please take time out to read this. I believe God has a message for you.

Psalm 119:130: The entrance of Your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.
Psalm 119:105: Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

In the story, Dele walked around in darkness even though there was light available. This happened because he was on the wrong frequency. This can be likened to acting in life based on our human wisdom. Doing this is tantamount to making mistakes and hurting ourselves. It is only when we tune to Heaven’s frequency and wait on Him for instruction and direction that we can move around in peace and safety. The Bible is God’s word to us as believers. It is the way by which He directs us. If you want to walk in divine safety and peace, you need to seek God’s word! Find time to hear God speak!

I pray that the Lord who said “Let there be light” and there was light will speak light into your life. I pray that He will shine His light on your path. I pray that His word will bring an end to darkness in your life. I pray that you will walk in clarity of vision and purpose in Jesus name. Amen. Have a nice weekend.. 🙂 Shalom!
