The word of God is described as a lamp for our feet and a light on our paths (Psalm 119:105). Intermittently, over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll be trying to shine God’s searchlight on different issues. The approach is to put up Bible verses that speak about the topic under consideration. The first study was on SEARCHLIGHT: Decisions This one is on PROVISION. I pray that God speaks to you and meets you at the point of your need. Amen.

PROVISION

Everyone has needs. What each person needs and the measure to which he needs it may vary, but it is certain that everyone has needs. There are spiritual, emotional, financial and academic needs, just to name a few. Today, we will consider some verses that state God’s promise for us concerning provision. Read and be blessed.

Psalm 37:25: “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

Deuteronomy 28:1 and 12: “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today… The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.”

Malachi 3:10: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

2 Kings 3:17: “For this is what the LORD says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink.”

Finally, Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

These promises are for you at this season of your life and indeed every season. Please go over them and note them down if you can in order to maximise the benefits. Also, I am looking forward to your comments on other verses that you consider relevant to this topic. Thank You!
